Many describe a low level of discomfort and decline topical numbing, however it is available pre-procedure to make you more comfortable if desired
The treatment itself takes less than 30 minutes. If topical numbing is used prior to treatment, add on another 20 minutes
As with most skin care treatments, a series of treatments is recommended for optimal results but some patients are happy with a single treatment
The most common side effects are pin point abrasions and redness that usually resolves within hours to a day. Rarely, a patient may experience mild peeling or a breakout following treatment
Those with active injury, infection or skin cancer at the treatment area are not recommended to have the treatment. Pregnancy and breastfeeding is a contraindication to treatment
Aftercare is relatively simple. It is recommended to avoid washing your face for several hours following the treatment, and to avoid exercise and applying makeup that day. The following day you can resume all usual activities
