MicroLaserPeel / NanoLaserPeel

What is a MicroLaserPeel & a NanoLaserPeel?

A Laser Peel is a superficial skin resurfacing process that removes a thin layer of damaged skin in order to improve the texture and provide a more youthful appearance of the skin surface. A NanoLaserPeel is a “weekend peel” refreshing dull, dry skin with no real downtime. A MicroLaserPeel penetrates more deeply, improving the appearance of wrinkles, scars, pigment, enlarged pores and recovery is just a few days.

How does a MicroLaserPeel or NanoLaserPeel work?

The erbium laser wavelength is calibrated to a specific depth to remove the top layer of damaged skin cells that make your skin look aged. As the skin begins the healing process, new skin cells grow and resurface the treated area with smoother, healthier and more radiant skin.

Am I a good candidate for a MicroLaserPeel or NanoLaserPeel?

Anyone looking to improve wrinkles and their skin’s texture and tone on the face or body can benefit from a laser peel.

What are the benefits of a MicroLaserPeel or NanoLaserPeel?

Laser Peels are effective at rejuvenating the top layer of skin and have minimal downtime compared to other resurfacing technologies like a chemical peel because the energy can be applied with greater accuracy and control. The best part is that the desired results of treatment and downtime to achieve that result is totally customizable.

What is recovery like, and are there any side effects?

Immediately after the treatment it is possible that your skin will have a “frosty” appearance. This is the dehydrated skin that will peel away within the next few days following the treatment. You may experience some skin redness and a sensation resembling sunburn, as well as mild swelling around the eyes for a few days with a MicroLaserPeel.

How many treatments should I get?

Your clinician can recommend how many NanoLaserPeel or MicroLaserPeel treatments will best address your concerns. It’s typically recommended to do a series of treatments or to stack them with other treatment modalities for the best results.

Other Frequently Asked Questions

One of the major advantages of the NanolaserPeel is that it produces virtually no pain since it does not penetrate very deep into the skin. At its most basic settings, the majority of people can easily tolerate the treatment with no anesthetic numbing cream. At a deeper wavelength settings during a MicroLaserPeel treatment a topical numbing cream can be used based upon the patient sensitivity but most patients do not require this.

Generally the procedure takes 10-40 minutes depending upon the size of the treatment area and the number of passes given.

Beautiful results can be obtained from just a single treatment, however the number of treatments needed varies from person to person. Typically a series of treatments is done 2-8 weeks apart. Proper medical skin care products can be used to help accelerate the healing process and prolong the effects of the MicroLaserPeel or NanoLaserPeel. The skin can be somewhat sensitive to sun after the procedure, so it’s important to avoid direct sunlight and wear SPF 50+ until fully healed.
